Mee Goreng Mamak Style

I have been cooking Mee Goreng Mamak Style for my family for so many years and like to share my way with others. This Mee Goreng Mamak Style has two version of sautéing ingredients.

The first version has been practiced by me for many years and the second version is the simplified one!

You may choose which one you prefer!

Prep time: 20 mins

Cook time: 10 mins

Serving size: 3 persons

Difficulty : Easy

Ingredients

  • 3 red onion
  • 2 garlic
  • 5 dried chilies
  • 5 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 2 piece fish cake (slice)
  • 10 fish ball (slice)
  • 1/2 packet yellow noodle
  • 4 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 100g bean sprout
  • 100g pak choy
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 piece tofu (deep fried and slice)
Mee goreng mamak style
This is the first version of Mee Goreng Mamak Style that I used to cook for the family.

Instructions

Prepared the paste

Blend the red onion, garlic and dried chillies until it turn paste.

Sautéing the paste

Heat the oil and sauté the paste for 1 minutes or until it turn fragrance.

Add the fish cake and fish ball. Mix it together until the paste, fish ball and fishcake cook together.

Then, add yellow noodles and soy sauce. Pour the water and fried it evenly for 5 minutes.

For garnishing

Add bean sprout and pak choy.

Place the noodle aside or make a partition in the wok to break the egg. When you cook inside the wok, there will be half portion of egg and half portion of noodles. Then using fork, whisk the egg until it turn half cook.

Wait for another 3 minutes so that the mee goreng is evenly cooked

Mee Goreng Mamak ready to be served.

This is another version of cooking mee goreng mamak style.

Spicy Chilli Oil helps to cook Mee Goreng Mamak Style at home. It is easy to prepare without hassle. Fried noodles using Spicy Chilli Oil tasty to eat for the whole family.

Cook time: 7 mins

Serving size : 1 person

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Spicy Chilli Oil
  • 2 prawn
  • 1 plate yellow noodles
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoon water
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • A pinch of salt

Ingredients for Garnishing

  • 1/4 cup bean sprout
  • 1/4 cup chives
  • 4 slice fried tofu
  • 3 sliced boiled potato
Mee Goreng Mamak Style

Instructions

Preheat the oil

Preheat the spicy chili oil for about 30 seconds. Then add in prawn let it cook for another 30 sec or until it turns slightly red.

Adding the noodles and egg

Then, add in the yellow noodles. Cook the noodles under medium heat for about 3 mins. Make sure it mixed together with the prawn.

Cooking the egg carefully

Place the noodle aside or make a partition in the wok to break the egg. When you cook inside the wok, there will be half portion of egg and half portion of noodles. Then using fork, whisk the egg until it turn half cook.

Then, mixed the half cooked egg with the noodles. Let it mix together for 1 min. Then add in water.

Adding the soy sauce

Put the soy sauce. Then mix together the soy sauce and noodles. Make sure the heat constantly under medium heat.

Garnishing

Add in bean sprout and chives. Let it cook a while.

Add a pinch of salt on top and mixed it together.

Lastly, add in slice fried tofu and slice boiled potato. Mixed it together.

Mee Goreng Mamak Style ready.
