Kari Ikan

Traditionally, curry is a bit messy to make. The Spicy Chilli Oil MadeByNor simplifies the method but the same result as you make it through a complicated way.

Kari Ikan Spicy Chilli Oil 

Ingredients

To make curry paste

  • ½ cup fish curry powder
  • 4 tablespoon of plain water

To make the curry soup

  • 5 tablespoon Spicy Chili Oil
  • curry leaves
  • 150 ml water
  • 2 pieces fish
  • 200ml coconut milk
  • ½  teaspoon salt
  • 5 lady’s fingers
  • 2 tamarind slices

Instructions

To make curry paste

Mix curry powder with 4 tablespoon of water. Mixed it evenly until all the powder is fully mixed with the water.

Sautéing the paste

Preheat the Spicy Chilli Oil. Then, place the curry paste into the pan.

Sauté the curry paste until fragrance together with curry leaves.

Pour the water into the sauté ingredients and let it boil. To know whether the water is boil or not, few small bubbles will come out at the surface of the water.

Then, add in the fish. Let the fish cook for another 7-10 minute.

Adding the vegetables

Add in lady’s fingers. Then drop the tamarind slice into the soup. Wait until the lady finger cooks for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Adding the coconut milk

Pour the coconut milk and add in salt. Mix it carefully so that the fish and the lady fingers fully cooked.

Similar to the step above wait until bubbles appear on the surface of the soup. Wait until 2-3 minutes until it cook together.

To serve

Then you may serve the curry together with rice.
